Carolina Pines Myrtle Beach, SC

Carolina Pines was another resort we tried in Oct 2022 and were pleasantly surprised (LOVE NC weather!) with the amenities and cleanliness of the park. The big splash pad wasn’t open, but the pool, kiddie area, and indoor pool were open, all with heated water!

Like most other parks we had the opportunity to do Halloween/fall related activities at a [small] extra fee but that helped entertain the little kids while the big kids were at the sports area close by. We painted pumpkins then decorated and ate candied apples, but they had much much more to do!

Near the courtyard there is a mini bowling alley, beautiful fitness center, yoga studio, general store, miniature golf (that’s FREE!!) and restaurant with actually decent food.

In the evenings they had an ice cream food truck, and a dj that played kid friendly music so the kids danced their energy out in the courtyard. Lots of comfy seating and fire pits so parents can relax while keeping a close eye on the little ones.

Carolina Pines also advertises a beach club with private pool, hot tub, wifi and restrooms; this wasn’t open when we went (Oct), but we hope to take advantage when we go back next July!

The ONLY negative we encountered during our trip was the restaurant experience; online it boasts a “vibrant dining scene”…we found it to be very cafeteria-like with mediocre food. It was almost as if it wasn’t complete, the main area was undecorated with just tables and chairs in a large room, so the noise level was LOUD.

The splash pad was right beside the outdoor pool, but close enough that you can keep a good eye on ALL the kids!
This pool was absolutely perfect for kids of all ages. Water was heated so even when it was a little cool outside it was still pleasant to play in
The sports courts were super nice! Full size basketball court, 3 pickleball courts, and a flag football area, all right beside a well maintained bathroom, which having close by is essential when traveling with toddlers πŸ˜‰

The courtyard area turned into the cutest fall festival during the day-pumpkin painting was hit for our 3 and 11 year old!
Candy Apples were SUPER messy, but well worth it!
Again, trick or treating in an RV park is a REALLY fun thing to do-just make sure you bring a back up parent and/or wagon to drag the kids around in. So much ground to cover and they’ll want to go EVERYWHERE. We love that some campers go all out with their decorations, aaaaand some make “adult treats” to make it even more fun for us as well!
